While Gearbox has gone to great lengths to say that its upcoming game Tiny Tina's Wonderlands isn't a Borderlands game, don't be surprised to see golden keys return for its release. The account rotates through all of the Borderlands games now that Borderlands 3 active development has come to an end. Then the week before that the key was for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel golden keys. The week before that Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford shared a code for Borderlands 3 keys. Last week, the account shared a code Borderlands Game of the Year golden keys. The Borderlands Twitter account typically shares new codes for golden keys every week on Friday. Once a key is used, it's consumed, making these rare offerings high in demand. The loot is scaled to the level of the players, so they're best used when a player hits max level or if a player is desperate for an upgrade. The new SHiFT code will expire on August 23. ![]() For new users, an account is required in order to connect players' SHiFT account to their game, so that the golden keys can be delivered via in-game mail. The code for redemption is "5JKT3-6XB5H-3J6B9-BJJ3T-SW9KK" and it can be redeemed via the official SHiFT Gearbox website. In a tweet shared via the official Borderlands Twitter account, Gearbox dropped a new SHiFT key for players to use to redeem 5 golden keys for Borderlands 2. That leaves plenty of time for fans to revisit Borderlands 2, which Gearbox is encouraging with a new code for 5 free Borderlands 2 golden keys. Gearbox has now moved on to the development of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, leaving a space between the end of new Borderlands 3 content and the start of something new. Repeat this process and you have unlimited golden keys.It's nearing two years since Gearbox Entertainment released Borderlands 3, with the looter shooter receiving four major DLC expansions and a diverse range of additional content. Once you do that go back to the saved utility folder and open up your USB folder and copy your profile data back onto your PS3. After that save and quit your game and quit then go back to the XMB menu. Then go back into the game and use your golden key. Put your USB into your system and save the profile data onto your USB. There will be atleast 2 saved files in here, your character data, and your profile data. On the XMB menu go to saved data utility folder. Once you put your code in for a golden key go into the game and make sure you have it. You need a flash drive and atleast one golden key to do this. Open the file and change the golden key section, delete the =1 and place in =250, you should now have 250 golden keys! Go into the folder titled 'dlc', and find a document titled, 'willow.' Before editing, make a backup. To get Golden Keys when you don't already have any, you have to revert Borderlands 2 for PC to the unpatched, vanilla version, and go into the install directory. When you start again, all your golden keys will be back! Once you're done getting all the free gear you want, quit Borderlands 2 and set the profile.bin file back to normal. Then load up Borderlands, spend your golden keys, and quit the game. ![]() Make a backup copy, then set the original to read-only (right-click, properties, Read-only checkbox, Apply). In that folder you'll find a file named profile.bin. To get unlimited free golden keys, you have to have 1 or more already in stock, and go to your Borderlands 2 save games folder (usually My Documents/My Games/Borderlands 2/WillowGame/SaveData/#).
